We believe the most compelling reasons to choose
Glendevon's Mountain Man or his offspring come from people who have bred, owned or
worked with them. Here are some of their quotes:

"I just wanted to give you the brief update on Kryptonite's show
"career" since I know those stallion editions are coming soon!
Kryptonite (now 3 1/2 yrs) and I competed in 14 Training level tests
this season, winning 10 times. The other 4 places were 2 seconds, a
third, and a sixth. Two of these wins were at USDF recognized shows
in large classes. One of these wins was the CDCTA Training level
championship, held 2 weeks ago! Additionally, we are in second place
for the year-end award at this level (behind a professional). Our
average score for the 14 tests is 67.359%. Just this past weekend,
we won the BLM qualifier (Training 3) for the 2005 season.
You just can't stop this man. At every show, people ask what
kind of warmblood he is (so far, the leaders are Holsteiner and
Hanoverian)--and I always sing the praises of you, Manny and Kaja
and your breeding program.
My plan is to move him up to 1st level in the local schooling
shows, and continue at Training level at the recognized shows. I
hope to go to the BLM and ABIC regional championships this year, and
maybe even Devon.
I hear you're pregnant!! Congratulations. Now you'll need a
lead line pony!
Take care,
Robyn"

"I was wondering if "Gigi" is still for sale. I recently
purchased her half-brother, Green Mountain Man (AKA Monty) in
Vermont, and have been extremely pleased with him. He has become a
great favorite of everyone who meets him, and his personality is
absolutely wonderful. Right now he's at a barn with a total of 40
horses, and he is quickly becoming the "farm darling." He really has
an incredible mix of mellowness and athleticism. When he first
arrived in NY, having decided that he would prefer not to be in the
pasture, but rather visiting with the barn manager, he jumped the 4+
foot paddock fence and waited at the office door, pleased as can be.
Whatever he turns out to be, he won't be happy unless he's
jumping--that's obvious already!
Monty has quickly become my pride and joy - thanks very much.
I am now, however, extremely interested in "Gigi" as well. She's an
absolute stunner. I have been interested in acquiring a mare also,
and she looks to have tremendous potential as an athlete, and later
as a broodmare--she's such a beautiful little filly. I'm always
interested to hear about a mare with a good temperament--really an
important characteristic to me. From what I have read and heard, I
very much admire your farm and the horses that have come out of it.
Thank you so much for your consideration."

"Just a
quick update on Magic... My trainer Kara loves him, and twice this
week has asked me if you have anymore like him. (I told her she
can't have him!) We are bringing him along fairly slowly, but he is
doing great. Last week she started cantering him and today he went
over his first cross-rail. Pretty uneventful, and I would expect
nothing less from him. We have trailered him up to the barn I board
Bella at and he did great in a new environment. He truly is a great
fellow and I cannot thank you enough for bringing him up so well and
letting me buy him."
"PS-We
are also contemplating breeding Bella next year and I hope you would
consider letting me breed her to Manny!"

"Glenda
is doing very well this spring eventing season; a third at Redland
and a second at Elysian, double clean at both. The third at Redland
qualifies her for the BN Championship at Seneca this Fall. I'm
trying to convince my trainer to let me take her Novice at the
Banbury Cross HT on August 9 & 10 [2003].
When I
took Glenda back to the trailer after Elysian's stadium and was
untacking her, a woman walked up and said she really liked my
horse. I thanked her. She asked about her breeding and where she
was from. I provided her your farm's name and the sire's name and
told her Glenda was 1/4 Clyde and 3/4 TB. She commented she
normally didn't consider draft crosses. She then told me again she
really liked my horse and that she was down from New York and was
looking at horses. At that point I figured out she was fishing to
see if Glenda was for sale. Of course she isn't and I didn't take
the bait. She complimented Glenda again and walked away.
Glenda really is a special horse, very smart, very balanced, very
good work ethic, bold without being foolish, and with just enough
attitude to make a good show horse." |

"I have bred four FIVE different mares to Glendevon's Mountain Man
with very consistent and impressive results. All of my foals have
been graced with wonderful temperaments, good size, and powerful
elastic movement. Each has been sold soon after being offered for
sale; to an equine veterinarian, a pony clubber, a classical
dressage rider, foxhunters & eventers. I don't hesitate to breed
back to this stallion who is delivering exactly what we are all
looking for in sporthorse breeding."

"Our new
colt Monty is growing into a very handsome boy! He is starting to
shed out and looks to be a lovely bay. I had a girl over yesterday
who trains a lot of horses and she thought he was gorgeous! She
asked me who we bred to. He is just very correct. Gorgeous shoulder
with well placed neck-very square-very handsome head...she called it
"dainty." Lovely mover-we are thrilled! He is getting halter broke
and learning to give to pressure on his halter. He is very sane and
easy (unlike our other baby who flipped over a couple of times!)...
I'd love to keep him as a future show jumping prospect! He and his
mother (purchased in foal) are both lovely horses and even have
matching markings, it's quite cute! We really enjoy having them and
it's nice to look out in the field and see them there. Please tell
Manny thank you for us!" |

"I am very pleased with my new
Manny filly! She is very friendly and curious, and definitely SMART.
She seems to pick things up very quickly. I am also very pleased
with her conformation. Definitely what I was looking to get; she has
a great neck, head and shoulder, nice straight legs, and a
personality plus! I think she is going to have a great work ethic.
Anyway to let you know, I am seriously thinking of breeding her mom
(my 2nd level dressage mare) back to Manny next spring. Thanks!" |

"From the picture on the website your stallion is the best built
Clyde-TB I have ever seen. He equals the best European warmbloods.
Bravo!" |

"I've looked at numerous cross-bred babies, and was especially
impressed by those I saw by Glendevon's Mountain Man. They all
reflected his strong topline, well placed hocks, tremendous self
carriage and generous disposition. I bought one and found the horse
I've been dreaming of for years!" |

"Just wanted to write you a quick note about Kryptonite's first
show. He rocked! He let me throw him on the trailer by myself in the
pitch dark morning, hauled perfectly, stood calmly in the show
parking lot, and walked around the indoor with the tractor still
dragging the ring. Long story short, we placed first in the Intro 1
test with a 65.79%. The judge made a few comments to me ...then she
asked how old he was..."TWO 1/2 ?! Forget everything I just
said--that was perfect!" Her written comments on the 2 tests were "A
very pretty, nice moving horse." and "Very nice! Unbelievable
confidence and steadiness for a two year old!" Comment from the ring
steward--"Where can I get one of these horses?"
Needless to say, we barely fit in the trailer for the ride
home our heads were so big! So, now its time off for the winter.
We'll probably trail ride a little bit, but no organized training or
lessons until spring. Meanwhile, he almost fits my 81" Rambo, and
continues to grow....
Hope all is well with you guys, have a great holiday season!
Robyn
PS My boss (Dr. Carol Sabo) is eagerly awaiting her mare's
foal by Manny due June or July I think!" |

| "My filly Mountain Laurel, by Glendevon's Mountain Man, is
even nicer than I'd hoped for. Already as a yearling, she's almost
as tall as her 15.2 hand TB mother, and has a much better
disposition! She's a very snazzy bright bay with 3 stockings and
narrow stipe down her pretty face. I think she's a very fancy mover
and holds great promise for the show ring." |

| "I've been a big fan of Manny's for several years now. He's a
very kind, handsome and extremely athletic horse. Those traits don't
often come in the same package. That's why I chose to breed my mare
to him." |

Elizabeth Reese, D.V.M., Potomac, MD

| "I breed to produce show jumpers and I chose Glendevon's
Mountain Man for his strong build and great scope and technique over
fences. I've bred to other fancy warmbloods, but couldn't be more
pleased with my filly by Manny - she's powerfully built, athletic
and gorgeous!" |

Richard Fakkema, farrier, Middleburg, VA
|
| "Our gelding by Glendevon's Mountain Man is exactly what we
set out to get; dark bay, super mellow yet bouncy, a pretty mover
with no knee action, and none of the spookiness of some of our other
draft crosses. He's out of our 14.3 hand TB mare, but as a 2yr old,
already stands 16+ hands. We can't wait to event and hunt him, and
would definitely be interested in breeding to Manny again!"

| "I bought a very nice, athletic 3yr old mare by Manny, and
feel fortunate to have her. One of the other riders at my barn who
happens to own a fancy 4yr old Hanovarian, commented that my
"Glenda" has a very fancy trot. Additionally, one of the working
students saw Glenda working at the trot and canter and said she was
really surprised at how well Glenda was doing so quickly. Even with
all the work she is still as pleasant as can be, and comes when I
call her from the field! If she keeps progressing at this speed I
hope to do some dressage shows in the spring!" |

Ed Baker,

| "We love our filly by Manny. She was not even 3yrs old when we
bought her, and my 12 y.o. daughter has been able to start her under
saddle herself (with supervision). They've already had a lot of fun
together, including their 1st costume party, complete with bunny
ears!" |
